Meet the Doctor

Dr Rihman Rashid Rihman is a Homewood chiropractor who serves Homewood and the surrounding communities in IL.

Dr. Rihman was on track for dental school until he received his first chiropractic adjustment for hip and knee pain. After many unsuccessful visits to multiple physicians and receiving many painkillers and muscle relaxants, he found chiropractic to give him the result he was looking for on his very first visit! At that very moment Dr. Rihman decided to change his career path. He completed his undergraduate education and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a focus in health studies from DePaul University. He went on to complete his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa.

Dr. Rihman has been changing patients' lives in Kentucky, Illinois, Colorado, and Texas with his proficiency in Chiropractic adjusting techniques; he has earned National Board Certification, Part 1 through 4 as well as Physical Therapy certification, and he's a member of the Kentucky Association of Chiropractors

Dr. Rihman is excited to start his next chapter in providing quality care as part of the dynamic team at Chicago Wellness Center in Homewood. He is looking forward to helping as many families as possible achieve their highest level of health and vitality. Dr. Rihman stated, "Moving families from drug dependency to total life expectancy and allowing them to reach their highest health potential is not my job but an incredibly exciting hobby."

Dr. Rashid Rihman uses chiropractic care to improve the health and wellness in all areas of patients' lives, whether they are having problems with back pain or neck pain, or just want to start feeling better when they wake up in the morning. Dr. Rihman takes a "whole person" approach in chiropractic care, which means looking for the underlying causes of disease, discomfort, and pain, as opposed to just treating the symptoms. Many seemingly unrelated symptoms often arise from imbalances in the spinal column, and Dr. Rihman will be able to determine the root of the pain and create a personalized chiropractic and wellness plan to suit each patient's individual needs. Under the supervision and care of our caring and skilled chiropractor, patients report higher functioning in all areas of their lives.

Dr. Sergio Ortega

Dr. Sergio Ortega:

Was born and raised in Chicago. He grew up in the Austin community of Chicago.

His parents came from Zacatecas, Mexico to give him and his brother a chance for a better life. Due to Sergio being the firstborn in the family, he was the first person in his immediate family to finish high school; Dr. Sergio Ortega attended Westinghouse his freshman year and finished the rest at J. Sterling Morton East High School in 2008.

As an undergrad, he went to Northeastern University and graduated with a community health degree in 2013. Dr. Ortega has always loved working with his hands and helping people.
At first, he was debating on becoming a massage therapist, but with the help of his primary care physician, she told him to look up Chiropractic Medicine instead. She told him it would be less damaging on his hands over the years and on top of that, he would be a doctor too!

Dr. Ortega listened to her, and he started looking up schools and ended up going to the National University of Health and Sciences. The grind was real, and he became a Doctor of Chiropractic in 2020!
He never would have thought that he would become a doctor in his life, he was always the class clown and considered the “bad” kid in elementary school. Dr. Ortega did not have a fun childhood growing up, his parents separated when he was 11 years old.
He was forced to grow up quickly by taking care of his brother, and learning how to cook, wash clothes, and wash dishes.

All those experiences humbled him and made him see this world with a different outlook concerning his family, friends, strangers, and the homeless. Dr. Ortega’s family and friends mean everything to him, he will always try to be there for his loved ones. Just like his family and friends, he too will be as attentive, respectful, and empathetic towards you, his future patients.
